Why Voting is Important to Artists

November 5, 2024

This election day matters too much to ignore. I’m taking a different approach from my normal and if this offends you – well, that’s on you. In the United States, we have an election today. The Presidency, the House of Representatives, and many Senate seats are up for grabs. And how you vote matters because – though many will argue false equivalencies between the Republican and Democratic parties – what they stand by and for

Don’t Hesitate – Create

The answer to “Should I make art?” is always YES. The world can never have too much art in it. Art in every form you can imagine brings color, passion, imagination, inspiration, and joy into the world like nothing else can. It will be 13 years since I’ve been writing these at the start of 2025. While not my first love – that being fiction,

Getting to The End

October 1, 2024

Why people get close but don’t finish. In February of 2021, I opened a new Word document. An idea had popped into my head, and I wanted to get it down on paper (the screen) before it was gone. This is what I wrote: New idea: Sci-fi story where the aliens are the familiar fantasy tropes. Elves, orcs, goblins, all of the monsters of D&D as aliens instead. True sci-fantasy. All the tropes of characters
