Earning a Living Via Your Art

Earning a Living Via Your Art Some thoughts on the various inherent challenges. Photo by KΓ©vin et Laurianne Langlais on Unsplash Before the COVID-19 pandemic, I had a decent, albeit part-time, job. It allowed me some freedom to do more writing, but it still took up the majority of my day. When the lockdown began, the job ended. Rather than lament this, I shifted my focus and attention and dove headfirst into writing more. A

Even Artists Need Vacations

Even Artists Need Vacations Everyone needs to rest, relax, and recuperate. Photo by Chen Mizrach on Unsplash Many people think that the life of an artist is a cakewalk. They think that, as an artist, you’re doing what you love and getting paid. How can that possibly tire you out like normal work does? Believe me, it does. For example, when my wife and I married back in 2015, I designed and constructed our chuppah to

Storyteller’s Log, 17 July 2025

Storyteller’s Log, 17 July 2025 Oh, Korbin. This is you being adorable. I know some people have a problem with summer. Too hot, too muggy, too bright, and various other complaints. I, however, love the summer. Sunshine recharges me like nothing else can. I love that I don’t need to put on layers so that the air doesn’t hurt my face. Shorts and sandals? Yes please. This year, my wife and I bought bicycles. I
