The Year In Review
What did I do with my art in 2025?
Here we are at the end of 2025. For most, to one degree or another, this has been a crazy year. The world is getting wilder, between the Russia/Ukraine thing, China/Taiwan tensions, and Israel/Palestine madness.
Here in the United States, there’s been all the madness and chaos of the Trump administration.
Personally, my family has been through some stuff, but mostly I’m well.
Mostly.
Anyhow, I still think this is a great time to review 2025 and maybe take a sneak peek at 2026.
Shall we take a journey together?
A review of my arts in 2025
At the start of the year, I continued my three blogs a week. Monday Positivity, Tuesday arts and creative process stuff, Wednesday Pathwalking. As of Mid-December, I stopped posting to Medium and now only place my blogs on my websites alone.
When it comes to fiction, I published 3 books in 2025. My standalone sci-fi comedy, Jay and Char Save the Galaxy, and two new books in my clones/crime and conspiracy sci-fi series, Forgotten Fodder. Also, a short story “sequel” to Jay and Char appeared in the holiday-themed sci-fi anthology Ho-Ho-Ho, Now I Have A Raygun.
A good year for putting books and stories out into the world!
I also launched my new author-coaching and publishing-assistance business inside my Argent Hedgehog Press publishing company. So, lots of good stuff with more coming.
I also finished plotting my next series, A Gentleman Space Pirate, which I’ll likely start publishing in the Fall of 2026. I’ve completed the initial writing of Book 1, Rise of the Captain.
The seventh Forgotten Fodder novel will be published January 13, 2026, and the eighth on March 10th, 2026. I’m currently working on writing A Gentleman Space Pirate book 2.
Hence, 2025 has been good for me in putting work out into the world. What does it mean for the new year?
Onwards and forwards into the new year
With this review of my 2025, I can see how 2026 will likely take a similar shape.
For example, my current plan has me potentially publishing 3 books in 2026 and another 4 in 2027. Between completing Forgotten Fodder and launching A Gentleman Space Pirate, this will keep that momentum going.
From there? Well, I need to review what I’m offering through Argent Hedgehog Press and then make it more visible. If I want it to help me make money, I need to make it more well-known to the people. So, marketing.
And of course, something will follow A Gentleman Space Pirate. That could be one of several things, but I always have ideas brewing in my head.
There you have my review of my 2025. At least, regarding my art and the words I’ve put out in the world. Thanks for reading. As I share my creative journey with you every week, please consider this: How are you inspired and empowered to be your own authentic creator, whatever form that takes?
